Indeed, in honor of the release of Madden NFL 06, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush paid a visit to the Tiburon Studios in Orlando, Florida, where Madden NFL is produced each year. Gov. Bush applauded the Tiburon staff before getting a demonstration of the game.
"I haven?t done this in a while," joked Bush as he sat down for a quick tutorial, in which he proved to be a quick learner.
Aside from seeing the gameplay and features, Gov. Bush received his own honor, as the wizards behind Madden NFL 06 inserted the governor and his brother, President George W. Bush, into a clash between the Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys. The governor got to live out the dream of being a professional football player, as he watched a video especially created for his visit (the video is not in the retail version of Madden NFL 06).
In the fantasy sequence (seen in video at right), Jeb Bush enters the game as a Miami wide receiver, catches a long ball, flattens his brother George W. -- playing defensive back for Dallas -- and leaps into the end zone for the winning touchdown.
Following the demonstration, the folks at Tiburon presented Bush with an autographed copy of Madden NFL 06 -- and two DVD copies of the Bush vs. Bush video.
"One?s going to Crawford, Texas," said the Governor, where President Bush is vacationing at his Texas ranch. "This is a keeper."
