SAL PAOLANTONIO
Sal Paolantonio joined ESPN as a SportsCenter correspondent in August 1995, primarily reporting on the National Football League. Beginning with the 2004 season, he also serves as host of NFL Match-Up, produced by NFL Films. Prior to joining ESPN, Paolantonio was a political reporter (1985-93) and beat reporter for the Philadelphia Eagles (1993-95) for the Philadelphia Inquirer. In 1994, he won the Associated Press Sports Editors Award for Reporting.
RON JAWORSKI
Ron Jaworski was the 2nd round pick of Los Angeles Rams in 1973. "Jaws" was traded to Philly in '77 where he led the Eagles to two NFC Playoffs ('78, '79) and the NFC Championship and first-ever Super Bowl berth in 1980. During his 10 years with the Eagles, Ron passed for nearly 27,000 yards, including 175 touchdowns, and started 116 straight NFL games. After becoming a free agent in 1987, Jaws played two seasons with the Dolphins and one with the Chiefs before retiring in 1990 with a season-ending knee injury.
MERRIL HOGE
An eight-year NFL veteran, Hoge spent 1987-93 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was the team?s starting fullback for five of those seasons. He set the team record for most receptions by a running back, totaling 50 in ?88. He concluded his career in 1995 with the Chicago Bears. Hoge joined ESPN in 1996, working as game analyst and sideline reporter for ESPN2?s college football coverage. He has been an analyst on NFL Matchup for the past six seasons, and a weekly contributor on NFL 2 Night.
