If you're going up against a Randy Moss or Marvin Harrison, you'll want a little more control for your defensive backs -- and now you have it. With coverage audibles, you can select the defensive back that's covering a particular receiver and either move him up to press coverage or back him off to give the receiver more room underneath. By allowing you to pick and choose each separate defensive back, you can change your coverages to take advantage of your defensive strengths and minimize your weaknesses. You may not be able to shut down a great receiver completely, but you can certainly make it harder for the quarterback to get the ball to him.
