A polished pocket passer with a strong and accurate passing touch. A very poised, confident performer who is good in a camp setting but even better in pads and has been seasoned against the highest level of competition in Southern California. Led his team to an 11-3 record as a junior, topping 3,000 yards passing and earning Cal-Hi Sports all-state underclass second team honors. Was the top performer at the Las Vegas EA SPORTS Elite 11 regional camp, showing his trademark precision passing and competitiveness. Is the second quarterback out of Huntington Beach Edison to be selected to the Elite 11, joining former Oklahoma and current Utah QB Tommy Grady as Charger QBs to make the Elite 11. Committed to UCLA in early May over offers from Colorado and Boise State.
2006 Stats: 232 of 368 passing for 3,094 yards with 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
